2020 Foxcroft lecture, State Library Victoria, 18 March

Dear all

I wanted to ensure information had gone out more widely on the 2020 Foxcroft lecture, to be held at State Library Victoria on 18 March. This is a free lecture.

The lecture will be delivered by:

Joseph J Gwara is Professor of Spanish at the United States Naval Academy. He is the recipient of the Katharine F Pantzer Jr Research Fellowship in the History of the Printed Book (Bibliographical Society, 2014) and the Katharine F Pantzer Senior Fellowship in Bibliography and the British Book Trades (Bibliographical Society of America, 2008). He is currently researching the 16th-century output of the printer Wynkyn de Worde and his circle.

Joseph gave a presentation to a small group of us a couple of years back – and it was a riveting presentation. He’ll be reprising this material for the Foxcroft.

Details can be found at the following link:

Please consider it if you have not already. And can I request any of you that have relevant email lists (BSANZ, Book Collectors, academic) send on the link to their groups for consideration.

The talk will be of relevance to anyone with an interest in book history.

Many thanks
