Lloyd Davis Memorial Prize:
ANZSA is pleased to announce that the Lloyd Davis Memorial Prize will be awarded to the best graduate essay submitted for consideration by a participant in the “Well Met” online event, 2020.
The prize is a cheque for AUD$500 and includes mentoring support towards peer-reviewed publication of the paper, provided by the President of ANZSA, Professor Laurie Johnson.
The winner and two additional finalists will also be invited to present their paper in a dedicated plenary panel to be scheduled on the “Well Met” program.
You are eligible to enter for the prize if:
- You are registering to participate in the ANZSA “Well Met” Online Event, 2020; and
- You are enrolled as an Honours, Masters, or PhD student or its equivalent. If you have submitted your thesis but it has not been examined, you will still be eligible.
To enter for the prize, please prepare a version of the paper that you will be willing to present at the “Well Met” event in one of the 15-minute Paper panel sessions (a paper of this length would normally be 6-8 double spaced pages or in the range of 1,500 to 2,500 words), along with endnotes/works cited.
Submit your paper to:
Professor Laurie Johnson, ANZSA President (laurence.johnson@usq.edu.au)
The deadline for electronic submission is midnight AEST, Monday 26 October 2020.
Your name should be given only in the cover email, not on the paper.
